MAXXIS ESC Racing Age is the racer‘s age on December 31, 2025

NO Racing License Required

Racers Must start with their class and at the assigned time. This will be enforced as we will present medals and awards right after the last racer in each class finishes.
Final Class Results will be posted 5 minutes after the last racer finishes in each class. If a racer misses their class starting times, they will not get a finishing position or series points and will receive a DNS
We will award medals and prizes at our tents 15 minutes after the Class Results have been posted.
No Reruns unless the course is closed during your race run.

No Points will carry over to a new class when a racer upgrades or downgrades their class.

Racers must be present at the starting line for their designated start time. If a racer is not at the start line for their scheduled time and their Maxxis ESC Racer class results have been posted at the finish or registration area, they will be disqualified from the day’s competition.

The fastest DH racers in every class in the ESC SPEED ZONE are awarded some ESC Speed Zone swag.

MANDATORY MOVE UPS

Any Amateur racer that scores a time that would have won the same-age expert class must move up to that class, if 5 or more racers were in that expert class.

Any Amateur may be moved to the Expert Class at any time the ESC determines it is in the best interests of the competition.

Past ESC DH Amateur Series Champions from any prior season MUST race in the Expert Class (Cat1)

NO Racing License Required

Racers must start with their class and at the assigned time. If a racer misses their class start time, they will incur a time penalty or be disqualified. Final Class Results will be posted 5 minutes after the last racer finishes in each class. Each racer’s time and current positioning will be available as soon as they finish. We will award medals and prizes at our tents 15 minutes after the posted Final Class Results. No Reruns unless the course is closed during your race run.

Once activated, it is imperative that Racers DO NOT allow their race timing chips to idle near the start or finish beacons; the chips will constantly read the times broadcast by the beacons. The timing chips have a capacity of 100 time stamps and will quickly run out of space. After reading 100 time stamps, the timing chip will no longer read any more times. As a result, no times will be recorded, and you will be declared a DNF.

Enduro racers must hand in their timing chips within 15 minutes after finishing the last stage; otherwise, they will be penalized 1 minute. After 30 minutes, racers will be DQ’d from the event.

Racers MUST be present at the Series Final Award Ceremonies or at the Race Award Ceremony to Receive Awards and/or Cash Payouts!

Enduro Racers MUST hand in their timing chips within 15 minutes after finishing the last stage or they will be penalized 1 minute. After 30 minutes racers will be DQ’d from the event

YOUTH 14U CLASS

- The 14U Class will do the same stages and in the same order as THE 12u Kids’ Class

- The 14U Class will have guides at most events. Racers must stay with the guides during the Race

- 12U and 14U racers may only compete in one discipline per weekend

- Racers must be 14 or younger on December 31, 2025 to be eligible.

- The 14U Class will compete on fewer race sections. Our Enduro Staff will conduct a course ride along on Saturday, times vary by venue so make sure to check. Meet at the Registration Tents. The above may be adjusted, so please check with us at Registration. No parents may ride with or run behind their children unless they are registered racers – NO EXCEPTIONS

KIDS’ 12U CLASS.

- In the Enduro, racers in this class will compete in fewer race segments than other racers.

- This is the for the FUN Class!!
- 12U and 14U racers may only compete in one discipline per weekend
- Racers must be 12 or younger on December 31, 2025 to be eligible.

- The 12U Kids Class will compete on fewer race sections. Our Enduro Staff will conduct a course ride along on Saturday, times vary by venue so make sure to check.. Meet at the Registration Tents. The racers in the 12U Kids’ Class can only participate in one discipline at Thule Showdowns.

ENDURO LITE CLASS This class will race for a reduced rate. This class is intended for beginner and new enduro racers to experience the excitement of enduro racing. Participants will receive a total race time and a time for each segment but will not compete for Maxxis ESC Podiums, Prizes, or the Series Championship. This class is all about having fun! The Enduro Lite format provides enjoyable tracks for riders of all levels, focusing on women, kids, and first-timers. The emphasis is on learning and having a good time with like-minded mountain bikers rather than results or prizes. Parents of 12U and 14U can enter this class to practice and/or race with their children.

PLEASE NOTE: Enduro Lite Class racers must stay with the 12U /14U Class and race the segments in the same order. Enduro Lite Class Racers may only compete in enduro at our Thule Showdown Events.

USE WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT Event Name: Eastern States Cup LLC Mountain Bike Race Series Event Date(s): 5/1/2025 – 10/31/25 Event Organizer: Eastern States Cup LLC IN CONSIDERATION of USENDURANCE allowing me to participate in the US Endurance event described above (the “Event”) I, for myself, and on behalf of my spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby agree to and make the following contractual representations pursuant to this Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement (the “Agreement”); 1. I hereby represent that (i) I am in good health and in proper physical condition to participate in the Event; and (ii) I am not under the influence of alcohol or any illicit or prescription drugs which would in any way impair my ability to safely participate in the Event. I agree that it is my sole responsibility to determine whether I am sufficiently fit and healthy enough to participate in the Event. 2. I understand and acknowledge the physical and mental rigors associated with this adventure racing Event, and realize that many elements of this Event are inherently dangerous and represent an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental limits. I understand that participation involves risks and dangers which include, without limitation, the potential for serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis and death; loss or damage to property; exposure to extreme conditions and circumstances; contact or collision with other participants, spectators, vehicles or other natural or manmade objects; dangers arising from adverse weather conditions; imperfect course conditions; water, road and surface hazards; equipment failure; inadequate safety measures; participants of varying skill levels; situations beyond the immediate control of the Event Organizers; and other undefined, not readily foreseeable and presently unknown risks and dangers (“Risks”). I understand that these Risks may be caused in whole or in part by my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of others participating in the Event, or the negligence of the Released Parties defined below, and I hereby expressly assume all such Risks and responsibility for any damages, liabilities, losses or expenses which I incur as a result of my participation in the Event. 3. I agree to be familiar with and abide by the Rules and Regulations established for the Event, including but not limited to rules and regulations related to Competition and Safety. I also accept sole responsibility for my own conduct and actions while participating in the Event, and the condition and adequacy of my equipment. 4. I hereby Release, Waive and Covenant Not to Sue, and further agree to Indemnify, Defend and Hold Harmless the following parties: US Endurance, the Event Organizers and Promoters, Race Directors, Sponsors, Advertisers, Host Cities, Local Organizing Committees, Venues and Property Owners upon which the Event takes place, Law Enforcement Agencies and other Public Entities providing support for the Event, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, officers, directors, partners, shareholders, members, agents, employees and volunteers (Individually and Collectively, the “Released Parties” or “Event Organizers”), with respect to any liability, claim(s), demand(s), cause(s) of action, damage(s), loss or expense (including court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees) of any kind or nature (“Liability”) which may arise out of, result from, or relate to my participation in the Event, including claims for Liability caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Released Parties. I further agree that if, despite this Agreement, I, or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim for Liability against any of the Released Parties, I will indemnify, defend and hold harmless each of the Released Parties from any such Liabilities which any may be incurred as the result of such claim. 5. I hereby pre-authorize the Event Organizers and their representatives to arrange for emergency medical treatment and/or transport via ambulance or air on my behalf if medical attention is warranted during my participation in the Event. I understand and agree that I will be responsible for the costs associated with any such emergency medical care and/or transport arranged on my behalf, and hereby release the Event Organizers from any Liability relating to the cost and provision of any rescue operations, first aid treatment, medical care, hospital expenses or the medical decisions made at the Event site or elsewhere on my behalf. I hereby warrant that I have read this Agreement carefully, understand its terms and conditions, acknowledge that I will be giving up substantial legal rights by signing it (including the rights of the minor, my spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns), and intend for my signature to serve as confirmation of my complete and unconditional acceptance of the terms, conditions and provisions of this Agreement. This Agreement represents the complete understanding between the parties regarding these issues and no oral representations, statements or inducements have been made apart from this Agreement. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. MAXXIS ESC Number Plates: Racers must display their 2025 MAXXIS ESC number plate while practicing or racing on the course. Only racers with a valid and registered 2025 MAXXIS ESC number plate are permitted on the course. These number plates can be purchased at each race for $10 and are valid for the entire season. Any modifications to the plate will result in disqualification, and the lettering and logos must remain completely intact, with no cuts allowed.

WAIVERS All racers must sign a MAXXIS ESC and a venue waiver before practicing or registering at all events. Racers under 18 must have a parent sign their waiver or supply a notarized parental signed copy. No other methods are allowed.

Sites will be marked off in the upper tiers of Powder Ridge’s parking lot. Please purchase camping in advance as camping typically sells out at Powder Ridge.
