We’ve arranged a full day of practice on Saturday to get those gears spinning and fine-tune your technique, the real action kicks off on Sunday morning! Get ready to unleash your skills and conquer uncharted trails like never before! Oh, and one more thing – this race won’t be lift-assisted. That means you better be prepared to pedal hard during the transfers. It’s all part of the challenge that awaits you at the Arrowhead Recreational Area!

Important Notice for Pro Racers: The Pro Class field is locked at 1:00 pm Saturday. This means no new registrations or transfers into the Pro Classes will be accepted after this time.

Racers may make one class change per season and no points will carry over to the new class when a racer upgrades or downgrades their class.

USE WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT Event Name: Eastern States Cup LLC Mountain Bike Race Series Event Date(s): 5/1/2025 – 10/31/25 IN CONSIDERATION of USENDURANCE allowing me to participate in the US Endurance event described above (the “Event”) I, for myself, and on behalf of my spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby agree to and make the following contractual representations pursuant to this Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement (the “Agreement”); 1. I hereby represent that (i) I am in good health and in proper physical condition to participate in the Event; and (ii) I am not under the influence of alcohol or any illicit or prescription drugs which would in any way impair my ability to safely participate in the Event. I agree that it is my sole responsibility to determine whether I am sufficiently fit and healthy enough to participate in the Event. 2. I understand and acknowledge the physical and mental rigors associated with this adventure racing Event, and realize that many elements of this Event are inherently dangerous and represent an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental limits. I understand that participation involves risks and dangers which include, without limitation, the potential for serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis and death; loss or damage to property; exposure to extreme conditions and circumstances; contact or collision with other participants, spectators, vehicles or other natural or manmade objects; dangers arising from adverse weather conditions; imperfect course conditions; water, road and surface hazards; equipment failure; inadequate safety measures; participants of varying skill levels; situations beyond the immediate control of the Event Organizers; and other undefined, not readily foreseeable and presently unknown risks and dangers (“Risks”). I understand that these Risks may be caused in whole or in part by my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of others participating in the Event, or the negligence of the Released Parties defined below, and I hereby expressly assume all such Risks and responsibility for any damages, liabilities, losses or expenses which I incur as a result of my participation in the Event. 3. I agree to be familiar with and abide by the Rules and Regulations established for the Event, including but not limited to rules and regulations related to Competition and Safety. I also accept sole responsibility for my own conduct and actions while participating in the Event, and the condition and adequacy of my equipment. 4. I hereby Release, Waive and Covenant Not to Sue, and further agree to Indemnify, Defend and Hold Harmless the following parties: US Endurance, the Event Organizers and Promoters, Race Directors, Sponsors, Advertisers, Host Cities, Local Organizing Committees, Venues and Property Owners upon which the Event takes place, Law Enforcement Agencies and other Public Entities providing support for the Event, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, officers, directors, partners, shareholders, members, agents, employees and volunteers (Individually and Collectively, the “Released Parties” or “Event Organizers”), with respect to any liability, claim(s), demand(s), cause(s) of action, damage(s), loss or expense (including court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees) of any kind or nature (“Liability”) which may arise out of, result from, or relate to my participation in the Event, including claims for Liability caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Released Parties. I further agree that if, despite this Agreement, I, or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim for Liability against any of the Released Parties, I will indemnify, defend and hold harmless each of the Released Parties from any such Liabilities which any may be incurred as the result of such claim. 5. I hereby pre-authorize the Event Organizers and their representatives to arrange for emergency medical treatment and/or transport via ambulance or air on my behalf if medical attention is warranted during my participation in the Event. I understand and agree that I will be responsible for the costs associated with any such emergency medical care and/or transport arranged on my behalf, and hereby release the Event Organizers from any Liability relating to the cost and provision of any rescue operations, first aid treatment, medical care, hospital expenses or the medical decisions made at the Event site or elsewhere on my behalf. I hereby warrant that I have read this Agreement carefully, understand its terms and conditions, acknowledge that I will be giving up substantial legal rights by signing it (including the rights of the minor, my spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns), and intend for my signature to serve as confirmation of my complete and unconditional acceptance of the terms, conditions and provisions of this Agreement. This Agreement represents the complete understanding between the parties regarding these issues and no oral representations, statements or inducements have been made apart from this Agreement. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. MAXXIS ESC RACE REGISTRATION REFUND POLICY

  • Refunds are available less a $20 handling fee until 14 days before the event.
  • Race entries cannot be transferred to a different event 
  • Race entries can be transferred to another person for a $20 handling fee until 7 Days Before the event

All racers must sign a MAXXIS ESC and a venue waiver before practicing or registering at all events. Racers under 18 must have a parent sign their waiver or supply a notarized parental signed copy. 

Once activated, Racers mustn’t allow their Race chips to idle near the start or finish beacons; the chips will constantly read the times broadcast by the beacons. The timing chips have a capacity of 100 time stamps and will quickly run out of space. After reading 100 time stamps, the timing chip will no longer read any more times. As a result, no times will be recorded, and you will be declared a DNF.

Enduro Racers MUST hand in their timing chips within 15 minutes after finishing the last stage or they will be penalized 1 minute. After 30 minutes, racers will be DQ’d from the event

Racers MUST be present at the Series Final Award Ceremonies or at the Race Award Ceremony to Receive Awards and/or Cash Payouts!

MAXXIS ESC Number Plates:

Important Information About Race Plates: All riders practicing or racing on the course must display a valid 2025 MAXXIS ESC number plate.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Purchase Your Plate: You can buy a 2025 MAXXIS ESC number plate for $10 at any race. This plate is good for the entire season.
  • Valid Plates Only: Only riders with a registered and valid 2025 plate are allowed on the course.
  • Keep it Pristine: Do not modify your number plate in any way. This includes cutting, altering the lettering, or covering logos. Any changes will result in disqualification.

WAIVERS
All racers must sign a MAXXIS ESC and a venue waiver prior to practicing or registering at all events. Racers under 18 must have a parent sign their waiver or supply a notarized parental signed copy. No other methods are allowed.

SHUTTLING
Shuttling will result in a disqualification unless allowed explicitly in our racer’s letter or racer’s meeting.

 

MAXXIS ESC Enduro Series Qualifications:

The best 7 rounds by points count toward the Stan’s Enduro Series Championship standings. (except the Cannondale E-Bike Class)

In the event of a tie, the best position at the most recent event takes precedence.

No minimum number of races is needed to qualify for Series Championship Standings
All ties will be broken by placement in the Championship Finals Race.
Any age may race in the Pro Open Class.
Any age may race in a younger class except for 19-29 racers.
Women can race in women’s classes or age groups.
ESC races will be scored using the MAXXIS ESC point schedule.
Only one bike may be used per event.

ANY ACTION TO GIVE A RACER AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE AS DEEMED BY THE ESC CAN RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION

 

Due to the venues and the ESC’s environmental concerns, tear-offs are not allowed at any Maxxis ESC event.

YOUTH 14U CLASS

  • The 14U Class will do the same stages and in the same order as the 12U Kids’ Class
  • The 14U Class will have guides at most events. Racers must stay with the guides during the Race
  • 12U and 14U racers may only compete in one discipline per weekend
  • Racers must be 14 or younger on December 31, 2025 to be eligible.
  • The 14U Class will compete on fewer race sections. Our Enduro Staff will conduct a course ride along on Saturday, times vary by venue so make sure to check. Meet at the Registration Tents. The above may be adjusted, so please check with us at Registration. No parents may ride with or run behind their children unless they are registered racers – NO EXCEPTIONS

12U KIDS’ CLASS

  • In the Enduro, racers in this class will compete in fewer race segments than other racers.
  • This is the for the FUN Class!!
  • The 12U Kids Class will compete on fewer race sections. Our Enduro Staff will conduct a course ride along on Saturday, times vary by venue so make sure to check.. Meet at the Registration Tents. The above may be adjusted, so please check with us at Registration. Parents may not ride with or run behind their children unless they are registered racers – NO EXCEPTIONS

Racers in the 12U and 14U classes are limited to participating in only one discipline at Thule Showdowns.

Racers must be 12 or younger on December 31, 2025 to be eligible.

Cannondale E-Bike Class

Any E-bike that can exceed Class 1 Specifications will be considered a Class 3 bike and will NOT be allowed to participate in our events.

The best 5 rounds by points count towards the Cannondale E-Bike Class series championship standings.
In the event of a tie, the best position at the most recent event takes precedence.
Showdown Races score 110% series points
Series Finals at Arrowhead scores 125% series points
We will present the E-Bike Class for Class 1 bikes at enduro venues that allow Emtb bikes..

  • Only Cannondale E-Bike Class racers may use an E-bike during official practice hours on transfers or race sections.
  • Non-registered Cannondale  E-Bike Class racers may not use an E-Bike on transfers or race sections during official practice hours.
  • At events where E-Bikes are not allowed, they may not be used on transfers or race sections during official practice hours.  Non-registered E-Bike Class racers may not use an E-Bike on transfers or race sections during official practice hours.
  • Any E-bike that can exceed Class 1 Specifications will be considered a Class 3 bike and will NOT be allowed to participate in our events

Racers MUST be present at the Race Award Ceremony to Receive Awards and/or Cash Payouts!

The race stages will be open exclusively for registered Maxxis Eastern States Cup racers from Friday to Sunday.

    • Racers must start with their class and at the assigned time. If a racer misses their class starting times, they will incur a time penalty or disqualification.
    • Final Class Results will be posted 5 minutes after the last racer finishes in each class.
    • Each racer’s time and current positioning will be available as soon as they finish.
    • We will award medals and prizes at our tents 15 minutes after the Final Class Results have been posted.
    • No Reruns unless the course is closed during your race run.

ESC Race Onsite Camping @ Arrowhead $30/Weekend – Limited tent and van/truck camping will be available at the Arrowhead race site. Travel trailers and motorhomes will not be allowed on site. No utility hookups are on site; the surface is a mixture of dirt and pavement.

Portable toilets will be available. Sites will be assigned on the day of arrival. Arrival time on Friday is no sooner than 3:00 PM; arrival time on Saturday is no sooner than 8:00 AM; departure time on Sunday is no later than 7:00 PM.

ENDURO LITE CLASS
This class is intended for beginner and new enduro racers to experience the excitement of enduro racing. Participants will receive a total race time and a time for each segment but will not compete for Maxxis ESC Podiums, Prizes, or the Series Championship. This class is all about having fun! The Enduro Lite format offers enjoyable tracks for riders of all levels, with a focus on women, kids, and first-time riders. The emphasis is on learning and having a good time with like-minded mountain bikers, rather than focusing on results or prizes. Parents of 12U and 14U can enter this class to practice and/or race with their children.

PLEASE NOTE: Enduro Lite Class racers must stay with the 12U Kids Class and race the segments in the same order. Enduro Lite Class Racers may only compete in enduro at our Thule Showdown Events.

The top 5 racers in each class will make the podium, with the first, second, and third place receiving custom Eastern States Cup Podium Medals.

The THULE Showdown Series events will carry 105% Intense DH Series Points!

INTENSE BIKES PODIUM PAYBACK Program that pays cash or certificates to racers who have raced with an Intense bike and have registered with Intense. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION 

ESC Cash, When the number of racers in the men’s amateur class exceeds 50 or in the women’s amateur class exceeds 20, the class will receive a cash prize in addition to regular product prizes. The cash will be awarded as follows:

  • $100  -1st
  • $50   – 2nd
  • $25    -3rd

INFORMATION:

  • NO SHUTTLING– That goes for all weekend for everyone. If you are seen/reported/caught/whatever shuttling, you will be assessed a time penalty. Trust us, you will not be on the podium if you try, so don’t.
  • NUMBER PLATES– Will be sold at registration for $10 each. A 2025 MAXXIS ESC Number Plate must be affixed correctly to your bike always while on the tracks. You will not be allowed to ride without one. No cuts or trimming allowed on the plate, please.
  • CASH ONLY– NO, ATMs on site.
  • BUG SPRAY – You will want it, and please don’t ask for ours…lol
  • COLD – Temps expected in the 30’s overnights
  • RAIN – Don’t even go there !!

If you have not paid for your registration or your 2023 Maxxis ESC number plate, please note it is CASH only, and  No ATMs are on site.

Enduro Racers will be charged the replacement cost of $100.00 for broken, lost, or non-returned timing chips.

Enduro Racers must be at the racers meeting, where we will activate their chips.

Please drive slowly through the neighborhood while visiting our venues. We do not want to upset the neighbors, and please visit the local restaurants and let them know you are there because of the enduro race.

We will be offering our 2025 Maxxis ESC Socks, Pint Glasses, and T-Shirts at our registration tents. Please remember it’s cash only.

Make sure you attend the Racer’s Meeting, don’t be that guy….lol
