Maxxis ESC Intense DH Series Adds Event at Powder Ridge Bike Park, CT

September 12-13, 2020 MAXXIS ESC Intense DH Series

Powder Ridge Bike Park |
Hey Maxxis ESC Intense DH racers, we are super excited to add our first visit to Connecticut this coming September 12-13 at Powder Ridge bike Park. We visited the resort recently and were stoked by our DH track there built by Maxxis ESC Pro Racer Jordan Newth. It has a great mix of drops, features, turns, and jumps. Racers will need to race them all perfectly to take the win. Expect the closest DH racing in our history.
Jordan Newth designed and built the Maxxis ESC Intense DH track at powder Ridge, CT
Connecticut’s first lift-served bike park, the Powder Ridge Mountain Park, and Resort made its debut in 2016 and serves up a variety of gravity-fed downhill trails and fun features in addition to the Powder Ridge Air Bag to help get your moves dialed. Powder Ridge brought in trail masters Dirtsculpt and added 3 new jump lines in 2018. A small, medium, and large line will be available as well as a pump track that the bike park added to its line up. They have also added even more tech trails that can be used for downhill racing.

Powder Ridge is located in south central Connecticut, just off I-91 and less than 25 minutes from Hartford, New Haven, and Waterbury. COVID 19: Registration limited to 250 racers per event – Masks required when social distancing is not possible. Please note: We are working on a plan to deal with Social Distancing and making the event as safe as possible. We’ll get the details posted asap. Event – No official award ceremony but Pros must be available for their group podium picture following their Class results being posted. Pro Racers MUST be present at the Podium Picture to Receive Awards and/or Cash Payouts! Amateurs will be called up to collect their prizing 15 minutes after their class results are posted, to allow for protests. Our podium and backdrops will be set up for the racers that want to have their picture taken on the podium. Registration – Please download and fill out all the attached documents prior to getting in the registration line. Only racers registering should be in line with the exception of racers under 18 for them one parent or guardian should be in the registration line.
