🛡️ The “Returning Racer” Priority Rule
Registration for ALL 2026 custom plates opens for everyone on January 1 at Noon. However, we do not finalize or assign numbers until January 4.

The Protection Window: If you raced in 2025, you have until January 3 at 12:00 PM (Noon) to claim your previous season’s number. If a returning racer and a new racer both request the same number during this window, the 2025 racer will be given priority.

The General Release: After January 3 at Noon, “Returning Racer” protection expires. All remaining unclaimed numbers become available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis.
🔢 How to Choose Your Numbers
Because many racers want the same popular numbers, all orders must include three (3) choices in order of preference (1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice).
If your first choice is taken by a returning racer or someone who ordered earlier, we will automatically move to your next available choice.

To ensure all priority claims are handled fairly, we will process the master list once the window closes.

The first official list of assigned 2026 numbers will be published on January 4 at Noon.
Pro-Tip for Racers:
Returning Racers: Order before Jan 3 at Noon to lock in your 2025 number! New Racers: Order as early as possible on Jan 1 to get a better “time-stamp” for your 2nd and 3rd choices!
January 1 to January 31 – Custom BOX Components Number Plate with the Racer’s Name and Number of their Choice* – $20 for one plate or $30 for two duplicate plates.   *(Subject to availability of the number chosen) January 1 to January 3 – 2025 racers have a guaranteed priority window to reclaim their previous number. Starting January 3 at noon, all unclaimed numbers will be released to the general public.
After January 31 – Â BOX Components Number Plate onsite with NO availability for number choice, duplicates, or name imprint – $10Â
2026 Maxxis ESC Number Plates are required to RACE and PRACTICE on any Maxxis ESC Race tracks at all MAXXIS ESC events
- Plates may not be modified in any way
- Prior Season’s Plates May Not Be Used
- Number Plates can be purchased onsite for $10 at any Maxxis ESC Event – number choice will not be available
- Number Plates are good for the entire 2025 season.
- Plates will not be shipped; you can pick up your plate at any 2026 Maxxis ESC event.
