FIRE FIGHT
Maxxis ESC Intense DH Finals – Jiminy Peak, Massachusetts

The crisp fall air has come to New England and after six months of racing it’s time to crown the 2025 Maxxis ESC Intense Cycles DH series champions. Jiminy Peak’s raw and unforgiving terrain is the perfect proving ground to test the skills riders have built up over the season. While some had already locked in their championship jerseys, others were battling for the 125% points on offer at finals. The racing was close, good times were had and we’re already excited to do it all over again next year.

Teddy’s Trudge is as raw as it gets, old school New England mountain biking at its finest. The DH trail was renamed earlier this season by Jiminy Peak in honor of the Maxxis ESC’s long-time mascot dog.

Most of the fall colors have been blown off the trees here in the Berkshires but some yellow and golden bits are still hanging in there.

Aiden Scott comes out of the gate swinging, way up high on the outside line to carry speed into the first corner. He would top the 12U class by ten seconds and landed second place in the overall.

Chase Ulmer checked off his seventh win of the season and took home the 8U Brat class jersey for 2025.

Brady Miller blasts out of the woods on his way to the Amateur 16U win and the overall title.

Nathan True stays light over the roots and earns the Amateur 19-29 win. Not a bad way to end the year after notching three wins in the Stan’s Enduro series.
photo
Theo Bedard activates hyper-speed, teleporting to his second Expert 16U win of the season.
photo
Henry Grohman takes his first Amateur 18U win with style, building a monster thirteen second lead.

Ken Boyle handles the steep corners and keeps it rolling into his first Amateur 40+ win, a fantastic way to end his first season of racing.

Only one race for Chris Rowen this season but he made it count, taking the 50+ Masters win from the overall champion Marcos Lira.

Georgia Pimentel was the only Amateur female to hit the concrete drop and the risk paid off, she earned her fourth W of the season by 10.9s.

Cornelius Carelsen cooked up his first Pro podium, fifth place among the fastest in the Northeast.

The Amateur 16U boys rolled 35 deep this weekend, and competition was tight! Killian Kingsbury lead the first split and was just 0.52s off the Amateur 16U win.

26 ain’t dead! William Sulas earned the Expert 19-29 win properly on the vintage Ironhorse rig.

Times are always tight in the Expert 18U class, with different racers leading all three splits this weekend. Matthew Keegan stole the win away from teammate Connor Parmelee by 0.73s.

This was Anna Trudelle’s first Maxxis ESC race, she lead the second split and walked away with third place in a stacked Pro women’s field.

Second place for Mary Jane Kissinger, just 0.91s off the W. She had already locked up the white jersey after an incredible first Pro season.
