Time to register for this weekend’s Maxxis ESC Stans Enduro Series Finals Thunder Mountain! Hoping not to jinx us but the weather looks fantastic for racing and camping!
Camping at Thunder is sold out but we rented the Charlemont Fairgrounds to keep our camping community together. It’s a lot nicer than the parking lot and only about a mile from the bike park.
Please note there is no other overnight parking or camping in Charlemont, including the school grounds. The town will be patrolling as they received some complaints after our last event. If you wish to boondock, please do it outside the town limits.

Series Finals Awards ceremony 15 minutes after last racers finishes.
• Racers Must start with their class and at the assigned time. If a racer misses their class starting times, they will incur a time penalty or disqualification.
• Final Class Results will be posted 5 minutes after the last racer finishes in each class.
• Each racer’s time and current positioning will be available as soon as they finish.
• We will award medals and prizes at our tents 15 minutes after the Final Class Results have been posted.
• No Reruns unless the course is closed during your race run.
• Do Not Stand Close to Start or Finish Beacons. Your Timing Chip could fill up with impulses resulting in a DQ and nobody wants that!
• Series Finals Awards ceremony 15 minutes after last racers finishes. You have to be present to collect any series prizes
- Each racer’s time and current positioning will be available as soon as they finish.
- We will award medals and prizes at our tents 15 minutes after the Final Class Results have been posted.

Thunder Mountain Bike Park has such a large amount of technical trails that it allows them to create a well-rounded enduro race. The addition of the Warfield Inn trails has added some pedaling to a lift-oriented day of racing.
The trails at Thunder are steep, and a lot of your time will be spent traversing across off-camber, root-filled sections. The jagged rocks and roots on the Back-of-the-shed trails are some of the most challenging lines out there. Riders will be treated to spectacular views of the Berkshire Mountains from the top of the bike park, with plenty of options on the way down!
Parking Lot at Thunder – A number of people have asked about setting up pits at Thunder Mountain for the weekend. Due to parking restraints, pits must be compact and Thunder Mountain reserves the right to ask for any pits to be removed if necessary. No pits shall remain up overnight.
The only camping in the lot is for RV and Trailers that have paid reserved spots issued by Thunder Mountain. These spots are SOLD OUT. There is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING at Thunder

CAMPING – Overnight Parking is offered as part of the ESC Stans Enduro Finals at the Charlemont Fairgrounds. Participants will be able to overnight there on Friday and Saturday. The fairgrounds will be open starting at 5:30pm on Friday. Please don’t set-up before being directed to your site.
No alcohol, open fires, or fireworks are allowed at the fairgrounds. No electrical or RV hookups exist, but it is a beautiful old New England fairground with plenty of places to park your rig or set up a tent.
There are bathrooms in the grandstands.
The ADMISSION fee is per vehicle with up to 4 persons per vehicle, one vehicle equals one camping site. The ADMISSION FEE APPLIES TO VISITORS TO THE FAIRGROUNDS

• Cash only onsite only – No reservations or holds
• There is no Friday-only option
• All vehicles must display the ADMISSION pass on their windshields while in the campground
• If your ADMISSION pass is lost, you will have to purchase a replacement at full cost
**Please note visitors will be charged the same fee as Campers to enter the fairgrounds.**

Directions to Charlemont Fairgrounds: The fairgrounds are located .25 mile on 8A north off of route 2. Follow 8A until you come to a covered bridge (Bissell Bridge) and take a right up the hill before crossing the bridge. Most GPS devices should find Charlemont Fairgrounds if you search. Don’t type in the actual address as it will not lead you where you need to go.

- Race entries cannot be transferred to a different event
- Once a refund is issued the same racer cannot re-register online for the same event, but they can onsite subject to availability

MAXXIS ESC RACE REGISTRATION REFUND POLICY
- Refunds are available less a $20 handling fee until 14 days before the event.
- Race entries cannot be transferred to a different event
- Race entries can be transferred to another person for a $20 handling fee until 7 Days Before the event

Pre – registered racers will only have to fill out a venue waiver at the event
All racers must sign a MAXXIS ESC and a venue waiver before practicing or registering at all events. Racers under 18 must have a parent sign their waiver or supply a notarized parental signed copy. Please email us for the ESC waiver if needed
Once activated it is imperative that Racers DO NOT Allow their Race chips to be idle near the start or finish beacons; The chips will constantly read the times broadcast by the beacons. The timing chips have a capacity of 100 time stamps and will quickly run out of space. After reading 100 time stamps, the timing chip will no longer read any more times. As a result, no times will be recorded, and you will be declared a DNF.
Enduro Racers MUST hand in their timing chips within 15 minutes after finishing the last stage or they will be penalized 1 minute. After 30 minutes racers will be DQ’d from the event
Racers MUST be present at the Series Final Award Ceremonies or at the Race Award Ceremony to Receive Awards and/or Cash Payouts!

We will be onsite Friday afternoon, but please understand we cannot do any registration on Friday. We have a lot of courses to set up, and we really want to ride our bikes too !
We will be offering our 2023 Maxxis ESC Socks, Pint Glasses, and T-Shirts at our registration tents. Please remember its cash only
STAN’S ENDURO INFORMATION
No Points will carry over to a new class when a racer upgrades or downgrades their class.
MAXXIS ESC Racing Age is the racers age on December 31, 2023
NO Racing License Required
The Maxxis ESC does allow reruns if the course closed during the racer’s race run.
The Maxxis ESC does allow reruns if the timers request a new run due to a malfunction.
The Maxxis ESC does not allow reruns if a racer is impeded by another racer
MAXXIS ESC Number Plates:
Racers must display their 2023 MAXXIS ESC number plate while practicing or racing on the course. Only racers with a valid and registered 2023 MAXXIS ESC number plate are permitted on the course. These number plates can be purchased at each race for $10 and are valid for the entire season. Any modifications to the plate will result in disqualification, and the lettering and logos must remain completely intact, with no cuts allowed.
WAIVERS
All racers must sign a MAXXIS ESC and a venue waiver before practicing or registering at all events. Racers under 18 must have a parent sign their waiver or supply a notarized parental signed copy. No other methods are allowed.
SHUTTLING
Shuttling will result in a disqualification unless allowed explicitly in our racer’s letter or racer’s meeting.
