Stage 1 Cycling

Rider: Kim Bradley

Info: Kim participated in her very first Enduro race locally in CT in 2020, through the encouragement of the Stage 1 Cycling Team. As a previous competitive triathlete and participant in several 24 hour Mountain Bike Races she decided to try out the challenge of Enduro and was hooked. Rider: Noah Couture
Class: U15
Bike: Transition Bikes Sentinel, Spur, PB&J
Info: I have been racing for 3 years. I took the u12 championship my first season and followed up with a 2nd overall in my second season of enduro. In the 2019 season, I was 1 of 4 people to make it to every enduro race. Last season covid limited the races I could attend and then I had an injury that sidelined me for a bit. This season I am looking to finish all 10 enduro races strong, possibly race a few DH and xc races. I would really like to ride Killington, Highland, and Vietnam a bunch this season and camp a whole lot more than last year. Really just can’t wait to ride and camp with everyone🤙

Rider: Orson Felter
Class: U12 Mixed
Bike: Trek Fuel EX Jr.
Info: Orson competed in his first downhill and enduro races at Powder Ridge in 2020. He enjoys mountain biking at Hurd State Park and the Salmon River State Forest.

Rider: Tristan Healey (aka Huck T-Flat) 😂
Class: ESC U-15
Bike: Yeti SB150 & Revel Rascal
Info: From Bristol, Rhode Island. A late bloomer on the bike, he got on 2 wheels in the late Fall of 2017 at age 9. The following Spring he signed up for Mountain Bike Racing with his local NEHSCA squad, the Southeast Swamp Yankees. As an avid skier, it was natural to take to the bike parks and start rolling downhills. In 2019, Tristan gave his first Enduros a shot in the Clif Kids U12 category. Those first events were challenging and downright scary but the encouragement of some amazing coaches and the atmosphere of the ESC organization gave him comfort to continue. 2020 was a game-changer for Tristan, he joined the Stage 1 squad who have been a blast to ride with at any and every ESC race they pulled off and whenever possible to ride together. Having all of those tracks under his belt and placing 3rd overall in the U12 class has given Tristan the experience he needs as he moves up to the U15 Category. For 2021, Tristan has joined the Rhode Island based CCF (CycleCraft Fitness) Enduro squad to benefit from weekly practices, coaching, and riding groups close to home. He looks forward to the biking season, riding and sending it with his Stage 1 buddies at trails around New England this summer, ripping it at Highland Bike camp, and he is especially excited for his favorite ESC venue at Glen Park, PA!

Rider: Coakley “Coak” Jopling
Class: Amateur 40+ open
Bike: Transition Scout
My biggest achievement out of all my years racing most disciplines is setting my sag correctly. My shock pump form is on point. Don’t necessarily have a favorite place to ride. Riding with my kids or the Muddy Mayhem crew turns any trail into my favorite. The biggest goal for 2021 and the future is to not seriously get injured, pretty sure I just jinxed myself. Fun fact about me, my mother wanted to name me Chloe, and when she realized I was a boy she named me after her OBGYN, who’s not my father, at least that’s what Maury Povich said.

Declan Macauley aka Skinny D

He not only races enduro but XC, CX and road with his Stage1 Cycling Team. He looks forward to each event as a time to see all his friends from across the north east thanks to the ESC family.

Rider: Brooks Nablo
Class: 30-39
Bike: Specialized Enduro
Info: Brooks (Stage1 team president) has been racing with ESC since 2017 competing in events from time to time. He spends the majority of the events working with the U12 class to ensure the kids are getting through the race and practice days’ safety. Brooks got his first enduro and DH wins in 2020. He not only races enduro but XC, CX, and road with his Stage1 Cycling Team. He looks forward to each event as a time to see all his friends from across the northeast thanks to the ESC family.
